This Sunday marks the feast of Corpus Christi, The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This is a celebration of that great gift from God, the Holy Eucharist!

Wonderfully, this Saturday and Sunday many of our students, including a large number of our Year 4 cohort, will be making their First Eucharist! What an auspicious time for them to make this deep connection with God! As part of their preparation, our students have been learning about the Eucharist and how it makes God truly present to us. We have been privileged to have Fr Renoir come and share some of his deep knowledge and devotion with us as well!

As well as hearing from Fr Renoir, our students have been learning about how the Eucharist is a chance for the whole of God’s family to come together at Mass, and share a meal. This meal that we share is the same that Jesus shared with his Disciples nearly 2000 years ago, and it marks the continuation of a true connection with God, made present through the person of Jesus, and the consecrated bread and wine.

I have been privileged to join in with the Year 4 team teaching our students about the Holy Eucharist, and as this week marks the end of my time as acting Religious Education Coordinator, I would like to thank all the staff, parents and students, as well as members of the Parish, who have made this nearly two terms a wonderful experience and chance to share the faith!

Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your faith journey! I thought that I would include one of my personal favourite prayers by way of a reflection this week.
