Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back Mr Walker

Mr Greg Walker will be back next Monday after his time away exploring Turkey and Greece. We hope the trip was both enjoyable and enriching. It will be great to have him back with us, and we look forward to hearing stories from his travels as he settles back into school life.

ACT Cross Country

Congratulations to the Rosary students that participated in the A.C.T Cross Country Carnival at Stromlo last Friday.  Our students all ran very well, with some performing strongly and placing in their event. Each student showed great levels of fitness and resilience.  We are proud of your achievements.  Thanks also to Mrs Elizabeth Fryar organising and supervising the team.

Sacrament of Eucharist 

Good luck to our Year 4 students and other candidates receiving the sacrament of Eucharist (First Communion) this weekend. The sacrament will be celebrated at the 5pm mass on Saturday and the 10.30am mass on Sunday. The students will also prepare with a special retreat today.

The Eucharist is at the heart of Christian worship.  Jesus gives himself to us in the Eucharist as spiritual nourishment because he loves us. By eating the Body and drinking the Blood of Christ in the Eucharist, we become united to the person of Christ through his humanity.  It is a very personal sacrament for each candidate, celebrated with the faith community at mass. 

Thank you Fr Renoir, Mr Chris Evans, Miss Karen Green, Mrs Anna Millar, Mrs Emily Meagher and Mrs Janet Hanratty  for preparing and supporting our students.   

Semester One Reports will be available next Wednesday 25 June

You are reminded that your child's Semester One Report will be available via the COMPASS portal next Wednesday afternoon 25 June.

The report is followed by Parent/Teacher Learning Conversations to be held on Monday 30 June and Tuesday 1 July (Week 10).  We strongly encourage every parent and carer to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss their grades and receive a more detailed summary of their successes and areas to develop. 

A booking sheet with each teacher’s availability to meet will come out online very shortly. 

Year 4 Excursion - National Arboretum

Last Monday, Year 4 enjoyed a memorable trip to the National Arboretum. The students explored a wide range of tree species, learned about ecosystems, and took part a range of outdoor activities including orienteering. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature and enhance their learning beyond the classroom.

Year 4 Assembly

Congratulations to all the Year 4 students and teachers (Ms Karen Green, Mrs Anna Millar, Mrs Janet Hanratty, and Mrs Emily Meagher) on a fantastic assembly! The children did a brilliant job showcasing some of the wonderful things they’ve learnt this year. It was a joyful celebration of their hard work and achievements. Well done, Year 4!

Kids In Space Showcase

Next Monday, four Year 6 teams will be presenting their projects at the ACT Kids in Space showcase. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to share their design ideas, creativity, and hard work with a wider audience. We’re incredibly proud of their efforts and wish them all the very best for the big day!
